Writing for Healing and Growth
Blue Ridge Writers Chapter member Leonard Tuchyner is leading this group which meets at the Senior Center in Charlottesville. It is not a critique or therapy group. It is designed to deepen the writing experience, and thus capitalize on the inherent inclination of the act of writing to heal the spirit and to increase awareness and creativity. Although memoirs tend to be this group's predominant form of writing, all modalities are appropriate and used. The current group of ten began meeting January 22, 2009, initially for a planned six weeks, however, an afterlife is being considered. For more information, contact Leonard at (434) 973-7632; tuchyner5@aol.com.
